The Mirai Innovation Research Associate (MIRA) program provides research affiliate positions at Mirai Innovation Research Institute in Japan for energetic and open-minded international researchers for the purpose of giving them the opportunity to carry out research alongside Mirai Innovation scientists to develop the next generation of emerging technologies.
Mirai Innovation Research Institute opens the invitation to researchers of international institutions to join our team as an international research associate. Accepted applicants will be able to use Mirai Innovation Research Institute´s affiliation and mechanisms to propose research projects to funding institutions, receive research grants, travel to Japan to conduct a research project at our laboratory, make use of all the research equipment, and publish the results at international journals or venues while enhancing their professional careers.

Requirements：
– Ph.D. degree in any science related field (preference will be given to those specializing in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or technology-related field).
– Ph.D. candidates may also apply.
– Able to read and explain research publications
– Able to communicate and work independently
Location:
– Online before coming to Japan
– Onsite at Mirai Innovation Research Institute, Osaka Laboratory.
Activities to be performed during the program:
– Plan experiments
– Program and/or configure software/hardware for experiments
– Conduct during experiments
– Analyze experiment data
– Write academic reports
– Provide mentorship if needed
– Participate in academic activities designated by Mirai Innovation.
